Connecting the Differently Abled and Empowering Through Disability
Everyone Belongs: Serving God through disability
At The Church at Asheville, we believe every single person is created in the image of God and possesses unique gifts and a vital role to play in our community of faith.
Our Ministry IN HIS IMAGE is dedicated to ensuring that individuals and families impacted by disabilities, mental health challenges, or special needs are fully welcomed, valued, and able to participate in every aspect of church life.
We are committed to removing barriers—both physical and social—and building a culture of inclusion where everyone experiences God's love and the fellowship of believers.
We want to thank our dear friend Teresa Williams for her great love for all God's children and her resilient dedication to be the voice for the voiceless. It is because of her that we created this ministry. It is because of her helping us to understand disability better that we are praying for every body of Christ to open their arms to people with disabilities of any kind.
We also offer a sensory room for those that may need it called Space for Grace. We will be delighted to welcome anyone into that space that would enjoy it more than being in the sanctuary.
