We will be celebrating the 37th Anniversary of The Church at Asheville.  What started in a modest storefront on Lexington Avenue in downtown Asheville is now a thriving community on a hill in Chunn's Cove.  Join us as we honor God for beginning this ministry of love and nurturing it over the last three and a half decades.

Our guest speaker is a good friend, ministry partner, and an inspiring man of God. 

Pastor Alfred E. Blount has served as the lead shepherd of Tried Stone Missionary Baptist Church in Asheville, NC, since 1999. A dedicated man of integrity, Pastor Blount is defined by his unwavering commitment to his Savior, his family, and the North Carolina community.

He holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Western Carolina University and a Master of Divinity from Gardner-Webb University, where he is currently completing his Doctor of Ministry. Beyond the pulpit, Pastor Blount extends his leadership into the heart of the city as the President of the Board of Directors for Asheville Buncombe Community Christian Ministry (ABCCM).

Known for his "man of his word" reputation and a surprising, dry wit that puts everyone at ease, he is a relatable leader who bridges the gap between ancient faith and modern life. He and his college sweetheart, Regina, will celebrate 38 years of marriage this October. They are the proud parents of Victoria, Stephen, and Deonna (DeVonte Sr.), and the doting grandparents of DeVonte Jr.
