We will be celebrating the 36th Anniversary of The Church at Asheville.  What started in a modest storefront on Lexington Avenue in downtown Asheville is now a thriving community on hill in Chunn's Cove.  Join us as we honor God for beginning this ministry of love and nurturing it over the last three and a half decades.

Our guest speaker is a good friend, ministry partner, and an inspiring man of God.  Javier and Danielle are loving friends that we have partnered in ministry with for the last ten years.  Honduras, Los Angeles, New York, and Florida are just a few of the locations where they have served.  We've had the pleasure to work beside them as well as invite them to Asheville to minister to us.  They are transparent loving people with Godly insight that is always right on time.  They know our Lord and share His love and His vision of restoration in each of us.

Following the service we will have a cookout on the grounds, so please stay and enjoy the time together!

Javier and Danielle Bio

Javier and Danielle Mendoza have been leading mission trips since 2004 and, upon its founding in 2011, played a pivotal role in building Connect Global, a worldwide organization dedicated to providing sustainable solutions to solvable problems such as poverty, hunger, lack of education, and access to clean drinking water.

In 2023, Javier and Danielle founded Hills Global Church, where they serve as the lead pastors. Hills Global Church is an extension of their deep commitment to discipleship, community, and outreach, creating a space where faith is lived out in everyday life.

In addition to bringing awareness to critical issues such as human suffering and domestic violence, Javier and Danielle are passionate about sharing the love of Jesus in practical, life-changing ways. Through public speaking, teaching, missions, and outreach efforts, they have served in Haiti, Jamaica, Honduras, Colombia, Thailand, Mexico, Louisiana, Florida, South Dakota, New York, California, and Texas.

Javier has the privilege of working alongside family and close friends, crafting and communicating the vision of their organizations while honing the global mission of both Connect Global and leading Hills Global Church. He has received Advanced Training in Leadership through the National Institute of Christian Leadership and is a Certified Trainer in Missions through Go To Nations.

Danielle is also a Certified Trainer in Missions through Go To Nations and focuses on building long-lasting community partnerships, spearheading fundraising efforts, and implementing new strategies that fuel the success of Connect Global’s charitable work as well as leading the Hills Global Church community. She also has an extensive background in Asset Management, having worked with industry-leading companies such as Goldman Sachs, Greystar, and Richmond Group before transitioning full-time into ministry and non-profit leadership.

Both Javier and Danielle are licensed and ordained ministers, holding ministerial credentials and memberships recognized by MAJC, The Fellowship Network, and LINC. Together they also serve as board members for Legacy Place, an organization dedicated to encouraging, equipping, and resourcing couples navigating infertility, miscarriage, baby loss, and childlessness.

Javier and Danielle have one daughter, Saige, who completed her first of many international service trips to Thailand at the age of four and has continued to serve every year in a variety of ways on and off the mission field.

Their family has called La Ceiba, Honduras home twice since January 2015, living and working there for a total of three years to establish programs and partnerships that continue to thrive today.

Today, their home and organizational headquarters are based in Tampa Bay, Florida, U.S.A
