This is the second post in our Faith Series. If you haven’t yet, please read the first post on Faith of God. It sets the ground work of anticipating God to work when we speak in faith through the power of Jesus’ Name.

The following Confessions of Faith is from the same source and is copied in its original format from the website, Strongfaith.org.

Remember to be in prayer about what the Lord reveals to you. Also, take notes so that you have a reference for yourself.

 

 

Confessions of Faith

There are several things that Jesus instructs believers to believe [pisteuō- think to be true, to be persuaded of, to credit, place confidence] IN:

  1. A believer should believe that those things which they says shall come to pass [Mark 11:23].
  2. “When ye pray, believe that ye receive” [Mark 11:24].
  3. “All things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, you shall receive” [Matthew 21:22].
  4. “Be not afraid, only believe” [Mark 5:36].
  5. “Fear not, believe only [pisteuo monon], and she shall be made whole [Luke 8:50].
  6. “If you can believe, all things are possible to him that believes” [Mark 9:23].
  7. “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues” [Mark 16:17].

Lord Jesus, I will obey your command in Mark 11:22, and have the same type of faith that the Godhead possesses [echo pistis theos]. I realize that the original Greek did not say “have faith in God” but “have faith God”. I will have the God-like [creative] faith that frames my world by the Word of God. So that things which are seen are made of things which do not appear; or things we now see did not come from anything that can be seen [Hebrews 11:3]. I will have the God-like faith that “calls those things which be not as though they were” [Romans 4:17].

I will be the “speaking living soul” that I was created to be [Genesis 2:7, Genesis 2:19, Genesis 9:6]. I will fulfill God’s command to me to be fruitful, multiply, replenish [fill] the earth, subdue it, and have dominion [Genesis 1:28]. I am a living soul and a living spirit because of Jesus Christ, the last Adam [1 Corinthians 15:45]. “I believed, therefore have I spoken” [Psalms 116:10]. I having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken. I also believe, and therefore speak [2 Corinthians 4:13].

My heart overflows with faith and my mouth speaks faith [Matthew 12:34]. My mouth speaks the overflow and blessings of God. Jesus said by my words I will be justified and by my words I will be condemned [Matthew 12:34-37]. I bring a good treasure of faith from my heart [Matthew 12:35]. I don’t allow my mouth to utter idle [argos] lazy, free from labor, nonproductive, not working, at leisure words. My words are the working, productive Word of God. My mouth is filled with “the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God” [Ephesians 6:17].

Jesus will find faith in my life when he returns [Luke 18:8]. I obtain a “good report” by my faith. God is pleased with me because I have faith in Him and His Word [Hebrews 11:2, 6]. I have confidence in God and His Word. I know that God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. I want God to be pleased with me so I choose to believe [pisteuō], think to be true, to be persuaded of, to credit, place confidence in His Word [Hebrews 11:6].

I have the righteousness which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith [Philippians 3:9 ]. I am justified by faith, I have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ [Romans 5:1, Galatians 2:16, Romans 3:28, Galatians 3:24]. I live by the supernatural Law of Faith [Romans 3:27]. I live by my faith [Habakkuk 2:4 and Romans 1:17, Galatians 3:11]. I walk by faith [2 Corinthians 5:7]. I stand by faith [2 Corinthians 1:24, Romans 5:2, 1 Corinthians 2:5]. I live by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God [Matthew 4:4]. The Truth of God’s Word supersedes facts. I am not moved by my emotions; what I feel, what I think, or what I see. I am moved by the Word of God [Smith Wigglesworth].

I see by faith [Hebrews 11:1]. I refuse to walk by human sight but by faith [2 Corinthians 5:7, Romans 8:24-25]. I refuse to look or focus on what can be seen, the visible, the temporal, or the temporary things of this world, for they are passing away [2 Corinthians 4:18]. I focus on the unseen things that are eternal [Hebrews 11:3, Hebrews 11:13].

I am an imitator of God [Ephesians 5:1]. I declare the end from the beginning according to God’s Word [Isaiah 46:10]. I walk in the steps of the faith of faithful Abraham [Romans 4:12, Galatians 3:9]. I have the God-like faith that “calls those things which be not as though they were” [Romans 4:17]. I am not weak in faith. I do not consider my self or others in receiving the promises of God [Romans 4:19]. I do not stagger [waver] at the promises of God through unbelief [Romans 4:20]. I am strong in faith giving glory to God [Romans 4:20].

I hope [elpis], because faith is the substances of things hoped for [Hebrews 11:1, Romans 8:24-25]. My faith is the substance [hupostasis], the substructure, the foundation of things I hope for [Hebrews 11:1]. I have a joyful and confident expectation in God and His Word. When things are against my hope, I will continue to have a joyful confident expectation [hope-elpis] in God that I might become what God says about me [Romans 4:18].

In Romans 10:10, the word confession is the Greek word Oμολογεω [homologeo-Romans 10:9]. Homologeo means according to Thayer’s Lexicon “to say the same thing as another, i.e. to agree with, assent”. I will confess what God’s Word says about my situation. I will only say what God’s Word says about my situation.

The believer is to say the same thing that the Bible says. If you are not saying the same things that Jesus said, don’t expect to do the same works that Jesus did [John 14:12].

Wow, now that is a confession of faith! I hope you took your time reading through it because there is a lot of information packed tightly together.

The question that pops into my mind is: “How much do I want to have the faith of God?” His faith comes through living fully for Him, speaking fully for Him, being fully for Him. To often I think, I’m good, I’m doing things for His Kingdom, I attend church every time the doors are open, I pray, I read His Word. Is that enough?

Is His Word speaking through me when I’m driving in traffic, when a homeless person approaches me, when I hear some gossip about me, when someone makes me mad? How much have I instilled the Word of God into my life so that the Word of God comes out of me instead of my own word.

What about when I’m trying to get things done for His Kingdom during a church service and someone interrupts what I’m doing. Am I concerned about that person or about getting ‘my stuff’ done? Ouch! Now it seems like He’s stepping on my toes!

I want to be changed by Him. I want the faith of God alive in my life.

Take the time to re-read the above Confessions of Faith. Make notes as you’re reading on what it means to you, on how your life can be more in tune with God, and how faith can truly be alive in your life.

I want that “God-like [creative] faith that frames my world by the Word of God.”

I want to be available for “God-like faith that “calls those things which be not as though they were” [Romans 4:17].”

“I choose to believe [pisteuō], think to be true, to be persuaded of, to credit, place confidence in His Word [Hebrews 11:6].”

“I hope [elpis], because faith is the substances of things hoped for [Hebrews 11:1, Romans 8:24-25].”

 

Our God is good! He is on time! And He is Faithful!!
